Whats the color of your fingerprint reader?

#1 Post by DarkMark » Tue Mar 27, 2007 5:26 pm

Today I noticed that on some pictures of T43's and T43p's the metal surrounding the reader is painted black.

Mine on the other hand is shiny metal.

Whats normal?

Did they forget to paint mine?

What is the case wit yours?

my original reader has black on the outline, but the paint does come off... i replaced the palmrest due to a hairline crack which developed, and the new one had it all silver no paint.

no biggie, I actually could've switched the reader from the old one into the new palmrest, if i really wanted the black, but I kinda like the silver, no black...

and if eventually the paint will come off the black one, might as well have it all silver
