I am in the process of setting up a new T60p, and have a quick question: on my T41p, the volume keys controlled the Windows sound volume. Pressing the volume up and down keys would visibly move the volume slider.
On the T60p, this does not seem to work. (Note: volume *is* reduced - however, it is not shown in Windows). The mute key does work, when pressed the system tray icon goes to mute, and pressing the volume keys cancels it.
How can I set it up so that the volume keys raise and lower the system volume?
How to associate volume hotkeys with system sound?

Re: How to associate volume hotkeys with system sound?
On the T60, the hardware keys control the master volume on the machine - meaning, the maximum of your windows volume will be what you set in hardware. There is no direct way that I know that you can associate the hardware keys to slide up/down your windows volume.gpvillamil wrote: On the T60p, this does not seem to work. The buttons control the hardware volume on my T60 and I know they also controlled the hardware volume on my T43.gpvillamil wrote:I am in the process of setting up a new T60p, and have a quick question: on my T41p, the volume keys controlled the Windows sound volume. I wish they would use an analog thumbwheel type hardware volume control like I had on my Toshiba laptop from a few years ago. It was much more adjustable than the button/digital control on my ThinkPads.
