Getting my O/S to run 600x

#1 Post by kingman99 » Wed Mar 28, 2007 4:03 pm

Hi

I just changed my CMOS and my hard drive and now l turned on my 600x and put in a wind 2000 CD.

This is what l see as far as codes;

19990302
19990301
19990301
this goes on 3 more times and then a new screen pops up

It shows the following from bottom to top

along the bottom it shows the F1 thru F12 keys and above that
it looks like a floppy disc with an arrow going to a picture of a slot.

above the F1 key on the bottom there is two arrows pointing to the F1 key.

I hit it and the screen went blank and then new codes appeared

19990302
19990301 three times

and then 19990305.

The only thing that l did when l was trying to get my old system to work is going into setup and clicked the reset icon and rearranged the order!

thanks

Alan

I just went into easy set up to see what l did

OK in all of the 4 boxes marked 1 thru 4 l have cylinders or what they look like to me if this helps

I went back into the easy set up and put the cd icon into the first box and it seems to be loading!
