I have a few batteries and when I go to hibernation mode and remove the battery, it gives me an error on the next start up.

Some more info, like error message, TP model etc., would be helpful.

realblackstuff is right, that it would be helpful to have more info. I assume though, that since you are posting in the T2x forum, that you are referencing the T23 in your signature.

Setting that aside, yes, if you have to reset the time everytime the main battery is removed, the CMOS battery likely needs to be replaced. If it is for the T23, a new replacement CMOS battery can be picked up on eBay for $5-20 shipped. OR, if you are careful, you can replace the battery yourself with a CR2032 watch battery from WalMart. If you decide to try this method, then be sure to search the forum for the methods to do so.
