Running programs

#1 Post by selvan777 » Tue Sep 28, 2004 1:18 am

Hi,

Some questions regarding running programs.

TpKmpSvc.exe - what is this one for and does it need to always run?
EzEjMnAp.Exe - I do use the Ultrabay 2000 sometimes but does it need to always run?
TPONSCR.EXE - it's nice to have the ThinkPad button function but does it always need to run?
ltcm000c.exe - I use a dial-up to connect but does this need to always run?

None of them show up as a service so if they can be stopped, where do I do it?

Thanks for the help.

those are startup items. Use 'msconfig' from Start->Run to disable them at startup. Not sure what TpKmpSvc.exe is - it's not running on my machine.

Thanks for the post.

I disabled the ones not needed via the registry.

TpKmpSvc.exe I found is the keyboard customizer utility.
