windows xp MUI(Multilanguage UI) pricing for TP

#1 Post by v_parthi » Tue Sep 28, 2004 4:51 am

Hi,

Anybody who ordered MUI (Multilanguage User Interface) pack together with Win-XP from IBM? What's the price? Procedure?

Is it compatible with IBM tools & drivers?

Microsoft page says that MUI has to be ordered directly from the person supplying XP and not available through retail channel.

regards
Parthiban.

Our school bought ours directly from Microsoft...actually a microsoft certified reseller. It is a great piece of software. If you have XP on your computer and it's American English version it will work...doesn't matter if it's IBM or generic homemade computer....tried on both! Cost for all the multilingual discs...I think they're 6 of them for each region of the world...the whole set (oh, also includes the XP installation disc...same as any XP Pro instal disc) for about $5.00 more than regular XP instal disc....I think we paid $95 for the set, but then again we are a non-profit educational facility.

MUI

Hi,

Thank you very much for the info. I already got my German language version of TP.

Is it possible now to ask for additonal MUI disks from IBM? OR Do I have to ask Microsoft now? I try however both.

Does your IBM tools added together with XP also show up with the selected language setting? OR Does it(MUI) work only for XP Prof only accessories?

regsrds,
Parthiban.
