T 30 mouse and mobile power supply Qs

#1 Post by doktrred » Sat Mar 31, 2007 10:17 am

My wife wants a wireless mouse to use with her T30. Will just about any mouse work with a T-30 (Win XP pro)? I THINK her computer has a couple of usb ports but I think they are usb 1 ports. Any suggestions/recommendations?

Also she'd like to use the thinkpad in the car. Should I be looking for a power inverter and just use the ac cord we already have, or is there a dc power cord specifically made for this purpose?
Thanks
Mike

Any USB wireless mouse will do. Good ones are the Logitech V450 or the VX, or the Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000.
The USB-dongles from Logitech are much smaller than the MS ones and store inside the mouse. The MS ones stick out when put at the bottom for storage.

A 150W power inverter for the car is preferable to the Air/Car combo and also a lot cheaper.

wireless mouse

About four years ago I bought a Belkin mini wireless mouse to use with my T30. It recently went into misbehavior mode, after travelling on multiple trips in a back-pack. I called Belkin tech support. We went through a couple of attempts to get it back working - no luck. They gave me a RMA and replaced with a brand new, in the retail plastic container at no cost. The retail version states "liketime warranty." This must be the case, since the new one came FedEx; I only had to pay to get the old one to them.
