Wireless randomly shuts off!! Help!

I have a new problem with my T60p - the wireless radio randomly shuts off, and won't come back on. It doesn't really matter what I do with the FN+F5 settings, and there's no rhyme or reason to it.

oddly enough, the bluetooth always stays on. I've searched and didn't find an answer.
