[T43] How do I check my warranty online with Linux?

#1 Post by kramed » Mon Apr 02, 2007 7:00 pm

I would like to know how I can check my warranty status online with my system. I use Slackware Linux exclusively so I dont have XP to boot to. Lenovo.com gives me the ActiveX error so does anyone know if I can still check online or do I have to call IBM? I think my warranty expires soon and would like to renew it.

You can check it manually:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... yle=lenovo

All you need is Type and Serial # of your machine.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
