Volume control

#1 Post by kai » Tue Apr 03, 2007 5:01 pm

This beginning to royally ... me off.

On my T60, if i use the hardware volume control buttons to mute the sound, it mutes.

However, if I then proceed to turn the sound back on, there is no sound. What happens is that the effect the mute button has is that it's setting the mute checkbox in Volume control, but also sliding down the wave volume slider all the way down and not putting it back up again! This means that I have to double click on the volume control in the system tray and then slide the slider back up again everytime I mute.

Does anyone else have this problem and is there a fix for this? It doesn't happen on my X40.

No problem here on my X60. Very strange thing. Do behave normally as well on my X23.

Windows XP Pro SP2. As I say, it doesn't happen on my X40, which is also running almost identical software.

Strange... that behaviour did not occur on my T60 with XP Pro SP2, nor does it do that now under Vista.
