I am experiencing problems with my new T-60 and AC in use with the altheros N card. If I am on battery I do not get a signal, when pluged in I am OK. Same location (roughly 40 feet from router). I have had issues with this laptop for three weeks now and I have restored 3 times. Because my connection is somewhat funky at times, after the last restore I enable logging on my wireless card. I know it is resource hog but it probably did not hurt for 1 or 2 boots. The reason I did this is because after a restore by boot time went from 40 seconds to 4 minutes after installing AC (after running defrag bootvis etc, it was reduced somewhat to 3 minutes. I wanted to see what the problem was so enabled logging. Here is a few clips from the log:
TVT_IsGinaInPluginList returned FALSE

I have installed, uninstalled, restored and it still is taking a very long time to boot. Do I have a registry problem and if so it must be in the restore partition because after 2 restores I get the same message?
Last night on my final restore I did not load AC but installed it this AM after I updated intel proset card and my wireless atheros card, reboot and install AC, enable logging and reboot. It changed the look of my start/taskbar from the classic to XP look. Not a big deal but why is it messing with my settings?
I would use windows wireless which seems OK but I do not seem to get the distance that I do when the AC and N card work together. Others seem to disagree but after 3 restores I have tried everything I can think of to fix it.
BTW I have uninstalled CSS and the fingerprint reader. I also do not yet have any AV program installed (yet).
A call to Lenovo was no help. The card was working then so they see no problem!

AC 4.23 Errors
T-60 7200, 2GB Ram, Atheros "N" card, 8744-5BU, T-42
Hello, you mentioned on the other thread that you had the "n" draft card; don't know which model#. Realblackstuff posted a link last night for an e-tailer that offered those cards and the Atheros AR5416 card on that site does show a download for a driver, which might include a client utility. If it worked for your card, you could connect with that utility:
