A21m fuse or picofuse locations on motherboard?

#1 Post by BeemerBiker » Wed Apr 04, 2007 10:40 pm

Was replacing an lcd panel and failed to turn off the power when connecting. Suspect I blew the 5 volt fuse. I looked thru two maintenance manuals and neither showed discrete parts layout. Anyone know about where the 5v or 12v picofuse is? I do not see anything obviouse like F101 , etc.

While this is not from an A21 system, I would assume that it uses fuses similar to these from a T23:

Fuse numbers seem to start from F1.

Thanks! So for I spotted 5 fuses F3, F14, F16, F17, F18
It seems I have a ways to go. Have not got around to checking them yet. In the process of looking I spotted a component hanging by a single solder pad and it fell off when I touched it. Maybe that was the original problem I had on this board.

Fortunately, where I work we can do surface mount soldering and welding. On my own, I have been able to scratch off and paint bridges over on AMD chips like their XP-M CPUs but replaceing really small components I cannot do at home.

Last month I bought a 1gb DDR and spotted 5 missing surface mount components as soon as I took it out of the bag.

I am still waiting for paypal to make good on their so-called buyers protection.
