Wireless Network Connection Icon

#1 Post by phillyd2 » Thu Apr 05, 2007 5:17 pm

I just updated the drivers / software on my X31 using Lenovo Software Installer (version 4.01.0615) but afterwards the Wireless Network Connection Icon on my XP toolbar shows a Red X even though I am connected to my wireless network.

Before the update the icon would flash the blue on/off depending on network activity.

Another odd thing is that when I look at Network Connections window it shows that the Wireless Network Connection is "No Connected" which is not the case.

Seems to me that after the updates the Network Connection labels are all wrong because Bluetooth Connection says "Network Cable Unplugged" and the Local Area Connection says disabled (Bluetooth is currently disabled). When I do turn on Bluetooth its icon also has a Red X and in the Network Connections still says "Network Cable Unplugged" but I have confirmed that the Bluetooth is on and working. The only thing it shows as connected is 1394 connection.

Any thoughts?

Seems like a small issue but its very annoying!
