T60 and Vista - video driver?

#1 Post by Torque » Fri Apr 06, 2007 5:45 am

Hi,

I've just installed Vista Ultimate 32-bit today on my T60 (1,83 CD, X1300).

Default, Vista installs a generic video driver which seems to provide good graphics acceleration considering AERO is running.

However, I plan on running a few games on Vista along with some 3D CAD applications, so I'll need to pull the best graphics out of my machine as possible.

Which drivers do you use under Vista, and what graphics intensive apps/games are you using?

I'm thinking of installing the latest drivers from Lenovo, which also claim to be Vista compatible. But if anyone has a better alternative, I hope to hear from you :)

For the record, these WILL NOT work on the laptops with FireGL cards. You have to stick with the Lenovo re-packaged drivers.

http://www.omegadrivers.net/ to get to the driver you just click the ati link up top , then click Archives and look for omega 6.5 anything higher than that dont support the older mobility gpus
