backlight leaks cover under warranty?
backlight leaks cover under warranty?
my x31 screen is kinda dim, I guess there is a backlight leak. does ibm warranty covers it? I have still have a month of warranty left with me.
"I guess there is a backlight leak" is not a statement. Either there is or there isn't. Looking at the screen on full brightness displaying a black picture (like command prompt on full screen) in a dark room should make the backlight leak very visible, if it is present.
With that said, backlight leakage effect is almost always present, to an extent. And it does not necessarily have anything to do with screen dimness.
Whether these things are covered under warranty is a tricky question. It depends on the amount (how much leakage there is or how dim the screen is compared to what is perceived as normal). You can try your luck.
