Whats the 560X's like??

I found a deal that has a T22 for sale.I know all about the T22's(looked up alot of info on them).But the seller said if i buy it he will toss in a working 560X.
All i know now is it has a 4 gig hard drive,run's Win ME, has ex floppy drive.
What are thease 560X's like? what kind of cpu's did thay come with? what screen's? ect.I dont think thay are worth alot but what would be a ball park price on them?

Gives an overview of ALL thinkpads produced to date. A great starting resource.

Find out the model number of the 560X, (2640 and either 60U or 70U (i.e. 2640-60U, this is IBM's specific model identification) enter it into Lenovo's web site, and any info not at Wikipedia is sure to be at lenovo along with all the system-specific downloads you'll need when rebuilding your hard drive.

The 560X is a pretty good model. Just make sure you don't get the one with a passive matrix screen. I used to own a 560X and found the machine to be a great little system. They are light, thin, fast enough to run Win 98, Office XP and Firefox with no issues and just like with most ThinkPads, the keyboard was great.

The 560X I have has a 233MHZ Pentium 1 processor and a max of 96 Megs of RAM. No internal CDROM or Floppy. IBM made a PCCard CDROM for these, I've been using a generic PCCard CDOM and it works well. I couldn't get Linux to boot without a boot floppy. The 560x and possibly all the 560 series can't load Windows 98 on a hard drive partition greater then 7Gigs. It runs Win 98SE fairly well and I've added a WIFI card, so It's a pretty nice and light laptop to just throw in the car when I don't feel like lugging around one of my my big laptops. It seems rather cheaply built compared to most of the thinkpads. It's all plastic. Battery life seems to be under 2 hours with continual use. The 560Z has Pentium II (233MHZ or 300MHZ), supports 128 Megs of RAM and is the top model of the 560 series. I could conceivably run Windows XP.

Well i picked up the T22 today with the 560X
It's 2640-70U model , with the 12.1 TFT.
I got a good deal on the lot of laptops and parts.But the 560X dident have the hard drive.It was more of a bonus anyways.
I dont realy have a use for it and i may put it up for grabs.

560's are great. Nice and compact, great form factor. Hard disk is a breeze to get to it's got a quick-access port right on the side (at least on the Z, my original 560 was buried deep in there as I recall). Reliable machines as well.

Ya i realy like the size of the 570E's.And with 192 ram thay run XP good.
I have given the 560X i have to a friend now.I cant see me ever useing it now.Not with the "new to me" T22,a 570E and soon to be another 570E(when it shows up).
So the 560X has found a nice home with a friend.
It was a nice little system.
But i'm realy likeing this T22 tho.But i would have to say i like the 570E just a little more.

i'm posting this from my 560X.

Pentium MMX 233MHz, 96 Megs RAM
4 Gig HD, WiFi card
Windows 2000 Pro SP4 /w Office XP SP3

I use to bring it with me to school to take notes on. It runs great, even though the memory is a bit on the light side.

Very small, compact, and I have two, 2 hour batteries for it.

Definitely a keeper. Some may say they aren't worth much, but I wouldn't part with this bad boy cheap, it's worth a ton to me.
