recovery disc 600x 2645-4eu

I bought a 600x 2645-4eu with win98se off eBay a couple of year ago. It came with a dead battery so I run it plugged in all the time. I formated the hard drive due to a virus. I tried to update firmware on the HD & DVD/rom and think I have updated with the wrong firmware. I can load OS such as 98 & 2k on however it doesn't work properly and can't read all disc when loading software. I would like to reload the original firmware and software but can only find updates. Can anyone lead me to a site where I can download the original firmware, recovery disc and startup diskette. I tried to buy it on eBay and got riped off! The service partition is no longer on the hard-drive and I would like to reinstall it as well, if that is possible. I can't do anything with the bios as I need a live battery. I'm new to this so any help would be appreciated.
