Guys,
My laptop is having trouble going to sleep when running of the battery. It can take about 5 minutes for it to go to sleep, eventhough it isn't running many applications, just 3-4. Can anyone think of a reason as to why this might be. I found other people on the forum having trouble coming out of standby mode, but I don't have this problem.

T60P Vista Ultimate Sleep Takes 5 Minutes
Like some others, occassionally my machine is finicky about coming out of standby, but not going into it.
Thinkpad T60p (2007-84U)
CPU Swap: Core Duo T2600 replaced with Core 2 Duo T7600@2.33Ghz
4GB Ram, new 500GB HD running Windows 7 Professional.

I have a T41P (see sig for specs).
I have had zero problems with Vista Ultimate relating to sleep or hibernation. Occasionaly under the old WinXP install it wouldn't resume from sleep requiring a hard reboot, however I have yet to experience that under Vista.
It amazes me how rock solid has been on this 'older' laptop, yet people with T42/43/60 seem to be having all kinds of difficulties. It makes me curious as to whether or not the users have installed the proper power management utilities.
Just for the record I am running Vista Ultimate with Lenovo's power mgmt. software and system interface driver, plus the keyboard customizer. That's it as far as Lenovo software is concerned.
