How does one access the "TrackPoint"

Older ThinkPads.. from the 600, the 7xx, the iSeries, 300, 500, the Transnote and, of course, the 701

How does one access the "TrackPoint"

#1 Post by DoctorBill » Tue Apr 10, 2007 12:03 am

Never mind....I found what I needed in the "Utilities" package in Lenovo.

I have a lot to learn about this machine.....

Now I have to figure out how to use the "Video Out" port in back of
the ThinkPad - how to switch to output and turn the LCD off so I can
use the Thinkpad in my Chemistry Classes.

There is a Video Projector that uses video from Laptops in classrooms now.

For what it's worth, sometimes they also default to "trackpoint inop when mouse is plugged in". And if you unplug the mouse, the TP still will not work unless you reboot.
