Bluetooth standard on T43?
I have tried getting my bluetooth going by enabling it at the configuration level in the BIOS but I do not see any evidence of the device installed anywhere, so I am wondering whether it is an option that I dont actually have??

With a normal factory pre-install on a TP with BT there should be an icon on the desktop. Do you have a factory installation?
If it's installed press Fn and F5 and see if you can turn it on.

Bluetooth standard on T43?
Thanks guys for your input.
The only number on the bottom I can see is 2668, this is because the serial number sticker has been removed - I suspect deliberately as the BIOS fields are also blanked out. I bought this machine off a power seller on e-bay last year and have only just relaised these things are missing. Not sure if theres anything I can do on this front.
Also when I hit Fn F5 I get a warning
'Unable to change powerstate of 802.11 wirelss radio.
Update the driver for the wireless adapter'.
Guess I dont have bluetooth!!
Best

Check the array of LEDs at the bottom of the display (the 'moon' (hibernation), the 'battery', the 'power LED', the 'HDD activity', 'caps lock' and 'num lock'). Is there the Bluetooth Logo? If so, then there's probably also the Bluetooth hardware inside.bertiespiv wrote:Guess I dont have bluetooth!!
