I have been trying to back up (using ThinkVantage backup) to an external drive, and it always fails. Now I have a hidden, read-only directory on my backup drive that I want to get rid of, so I can start again from a clean slate. But I can't delete it. When I view its attributes, Hidden is checked but is greyed out, so I can't unselect it. When I try to View Backups from within rrbackup, it tells me there aren't any backups. Any suggestions?
Also, whenever I try to do a backup, it keeps halting and telling me it can't back up specific files even though I have set them to be excluded from backups.
I have generally moved on to using ntbackup for my regular backups, but I wanted to use ThinkVantage this time because I think I might have to send in my laptop for repair (I am having the system board/DIMM beeps). But the backup has failed since long before this most recent problem started.
TIA -- Barbara
