Need your help want to reformat!!!

#1 Post by ace2109 » Tue Apr 10, 2007 1:44 pm

Hi guys,
i want to reformat my hdd so i can dual boot xp and vista also i want to be able to have some other partitions for data, mp3s etc.

I have made my recovery cd's but how do i create the partitions?

When i put the disks in i thought it would give me a menu like the start of installing windows but it brings up the rescue and recovery screen.

I am unsure about how to do this and really need your help on this.

regards

I think you should build yout partitions with Windows Boot cd, you have choice when starting a new install. Or you can use Ultimate Boot CD (google=UBCD) to build them.

then ... you reinstall with a Microsoft Windows vista &/or XP boot cd and reinstall, no ? I don't see what's your real problem. You have only Restore DVDs ?
You have others solutions as a partition software on XP or Vista.(partition magic, etc...)
