Keyboard with dock

This is proabably a generic problem but since I trying to solve it with a T41 I thought I would ask here. My TP has a UK keyboard and when I travel I want it to be set to UK. When I put it in my dock II I have a external swiss german keyboard which is also how I want it but then I need to manually tell XP to default to the different kbd. Is there anyway to automate the switching: docked vs non-docked? The kbd doesn't seem to follow the hw profile setting like other devices. PS:I know about ALT-SHIFT
