Wireless signal strength

#1 Post by thevt » Wed Apr 11, 2007 7:01 pm

I've noticed that the wireless meter reported by Vista always says I have a "fair" connection - about 2 bars; but the Thinkvantage conenctions meter reports Excellent strength with 100% power.

Does anyone have a similar situation? Which is more reliable?

I'm sitting RIGHT next to my 802.11g router so I tend to think its the Thinkvantage one, but is there something I'm missing?

Do not worry about that. That is a common thing. If you take a look at .txt files that come with certain drivers you will that issue on the list of "improvements".
So, just relax and enjoy :)
