LF: Intel 2200bg wireless mini pc card

#1 Post by dorronto » Thu Apr 12, 2007 12:07 pm

Well, I'll looking for another Intel card for my new T23 1.2 with wifi. The Actiontec b card is surprising good in the T23, but I'm used to the 2200's speed from other laptops.

Thanks,
Ron

PS. This should be an IBM specific card, with an FRU number on it. I don't want to take any chances.

Not any 2200. I've got a WM3A2100 out of a Dell. And a WM3B2100NA that has the "aux" antenna connector missing. I tested it without "ANY" antenna hooked up, (laptop next to the router) and it worked fine. In fact I tested both without antennas hooked up and they work. I ended up staying with the Linksys PCMCIA cards.

I'm open to all trades for T22, T23, or A22M goodies.

Or maybe Linksys wireless "B" goodies......

I have an Intel 2200 that wouldn't work in a T40, but I can check it in another machine.
Family Daily Drivers- T430s, T530, X220
Work- Sadly, the ThinkPads have gone away...... and replaced by HP ProDesk SFF drone machines :(
Other Projects- Edge 15, Z61m (Titanium)

If it won't work in a T40, then it's no good to me. I'm looking for one for my T40p.
