Are all 15" screens Flexview?

#1 Post by craniotes » Fri Oct 01, 2004 3:23 pm

Quick question for you folks (and I apologize in advance for being a newb here  ). Can someone please tell me if all 15" screens are of the Flexview variety, or does that technology only apply to the UXGA 15" screens?
TIA.

- Adam

PS - I did try a search first, and was unable to find an answer.

Well, the SXGA+ and UXGA definitely are. Don't know if the XGA is.

The 15" XGA display is not a flexview display.

Nor are any of the 14.1" displays, regardless of resolution.

Ergo, the T42p 14.1" SXGA+ is not a flexview display.

Also, just for completeness, not all 15" UXGA displays are Flexview. The ones on the A21p, for instance, are not. IIRC Flexview was introduced with the A31p and all 15" UXGA screens on ThinkPad since then have been Flexview.

Introduced with the A30p. I'm looking at one now and it's simply gorgeous!
