I Love My T43, But Shoule I Get A T60P?

#1 Post by CRSO » Fri Apr 13, 2007 1:47 pm

I love my T43. I just upgraded to Vista Ultimate after waiting a while. Eventually I got bored and figured I'd put it in both machines.

Anyhow, it's a 2687-DTU with the 15" screen and it has everything I need and I got it for 700.00.

I am always wanting the newest and greatest but how can I justify getting a T60?

One reason is the Widescreen.. I love it. I had it on my older Powerbook and it was great. Is the widescreen T60 shorter and wider than my T43 15".

I wish my T43 was a little thinner but the 15" adds the bulk. Basically I want to size mine up with a T60 Widescreen but there is nowhere to go and look at them.

Can anyone offer some advice?

Take a cool shower. Lie down, and wait for the feeling to go away.

I took a cold shower and my brain is where it needs to be...

I'll wait for something really nice to come along...

First, ship me your T43. When you're left without a computer, you'll have a clean slate, so to speak, and you'll be able to make a decision with a clear mind: either replace the T43 (because you used to have one and it was such a great machine!) or go with the widescreen T60 (because, even though you've never seen one, it promises so much!) Let me know when you want my shipping details. :)

Probably not a need to upgrade.

I have a T42 and my dad has a T60... there are a few nice features with the T60, but I don't think it's worth upgrading, just for the sake of upgrading!

I can understand your dilemma, though.

I've noticed that with IBM's, laptops age gracefully, unlike cheaper brands lol..
