Hi!
I want to set up fingerprint logon for only one user,
the second user is kind of a guest user without a password.
I have enabled fingerprint power-on, but when I swipe my finger it powers on and then automatically logs me in.
I want to configure it in a way that I will need to swipe my finger once to power it on,
and a second time to log in but with the nice windows logon screen with usernames and pictures
(without the alt+ctrl+del screen) because I want users to see all the usernames available...
The second user will be able to login only by clicking his username,
but only I will be able to power on the computer.
I tried several config options in the Fingerprint utility already...
Is it possible?

Are you using Client Security Solution (CSS)? If so, which version?
Which version of the Fingerprint Software do you have installed?
I have a T43 2687-D3U. I am using the latest of each, CSS 8.0 and FS 5.6. Configuring your machine as you described may be a rather tall order, as some posters have reported issues with enabling power-on using a fingerprint. Additionally, I have to swipe my finger twice about 85% of the time to access Web sites that have been configured to accept a fingerprint logon.
When I was upgrading to CSS 8.0, the traditional WindowsXP logon screen appeared after I had uninstalled CSS 7.0, a requirement of the upgrade process. After installing CSS 8.0, the WindowsXP logon screen no longer appears.
I suspect that, if you have CSS installed, it will be unlikely that you can configure your machine to enable the traditional WindowsXP logon screen for the benefit of your guest (limited) user.
If you are using just Fingerprint Software without CSS (which can be done), there may be a way. It's just that I have never run my machine without CSS and FS installed at the same time, so I don't know.

No, I don't have CSS, I'm only using Think Vantage fingerprint software 5.6.1.
The only way for now I think is to power on and then switch to other user.
I think what I need should be somewhere in the registry probably.. i'll try to dig a bit..
