NOD32 Trial vs. Full

#1 Post by spt60 » Mon Apr 16, 2007 9:59 am

I'm using the Trial version to see how good this av. actually is before decide to purchase one. However not sure what features are cut off in the Trial compare to Full or if they should be the same? Thanks! :)

AFAIK the trial-version is the full version for the trial-duration.
What would be the point of a cut-down trial version?

Most of the "crippled" trial software is stuff like video and photo editors that won't let you save work, perhaps it will let you save things with a watermark or only in a certain format.
NOD32 is a good AV program, especially for a laptop because of it's low resource use.

Correct, I downloaded a trial version of a video file converter called Rivers Past, and it would let you do all the included file conversions, but only up to 5 minutes in length. I did buy it, but that was the "crippling" they did.

Some free AV programs will not offer scheduled scanning whereas the full versions do. Checking the eset.com site, this can be found:
eset.com wrote:Although the trial version represents a fully functional version of NOD32, you may experience a longer virus signature update (download) time.

there is a 20% discount i requested for forum users..

for $39 list less $7.80 = $31.20 for a single user 1 year subscription why bother with a trial version..
its a great AV and i suspect will only become more feature rich as time goes on..

i have been using it and i think its great..
so great i do not get any compensation for the advert..!
nothing, free ad..!
i should disclose that i have been a beta tester since 2006..
