Hi!
Any help on this would be appreciated:
I purchased a Language Pack (German) for Windows Vista from Microsoft Online.
I downloaded it, followed the activation instructions, and that was it.
No instructions regarding insallation, etc. followed, thus I was assuming
everything was done and restarted my machine.
However, I still cannot spell check using a German spell check file in any
MS Office application.
I am a newbie to Vista, but am very familiar with previous Windows and
Office versions. Can somebody explain to me where to enable the language pack
and spell check.
I want to point out that I only want to spell check in that language
occasionally, not set my default language o German.
Thanks!

Office needs its own language packs. For spelling and grammar, the Proofing Tools are sufficient. If you want to change the user interface language as well you will need the full Office language pack. The Proofing Tools for Office 2007 haven't been released yet but the German language pack is available (at least under Select/Enterprise agreements) and includes the German Proofing Tools. Works quite well actually, now even in Outlook with language auto-detection.
Thanks Dirk,
I actually did purchase the right version of the language pack, as I just wanted the proofing tools.
For archival purposes (and anyone experiencing the same problem) here is the solution:
The file unzipps into a temp folder. All files need to be copied from there onto C:\, and then the installation should be rerun. Worked for me; I don't know if this is specific for to the German language pack. Apparantly multiple users had this porlem; I found this solution in the office.microsoft.com community.
