The thinkpad beeps!

#1 Post by perkinqq » Mon Apr 16, 2007 8:53 pm

Hello,

Everytime I close my laptop or unplug the power supply, the thinkpad beeps. Is there anyway to fix this? I feel like I've committed a crime everytime my computer hibernates while I'm at the library.

Any help would be... helpful!

Thank you

Go to Power Management/ BIOS under alarm to turn it off.

If you put it on mute prior to doing such tasks, it won't.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

In the Power Management control panel, there is a checkbox for "beep every time power state changes". Turn it off.

There is also a BIOS setting to control power state beeps, if you don't want it to do that, ever.
