I was really sad to see this news today. I pray for the families that misfortune hit bad.

Very sad indeed. These things are happening more after the Columbine massacre. I encourage everyone to have a moment of silence for all of them.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

I hope everyone was okay.

I know there was a frequent user at a sports forum whom, when news of the story broke, a thread was started about, hoping he would check in...

He was one of the victims. Brian Bruhm, I believe was his name.

Very sad thread.

I looked up some of the victims names on Facebook and found their profiles. They were good-looking, interesting kids with lots of friends. It's very sad.

We send a lot of our local kids to VT and the student body can all be described as among the best and the brightest.

A very, very sad episode in our history.

Would it be any less sad if they were ugly social misfits?

In the sense that the social, popular victims would have a lot more friends, and thus their passing would affect many more people.
