Dothan X-Series, when?

#1 Post by akeskira » Sat May 22, 2004 6:45 pm

Has anyone heard any rumors when dothan might be available for X-series? Also, any ideas whether a higher resolution X will ever be released? I wish there was a cross breed model of X and T, i.e. 14" 1400x1050 but without a device bay making the machine really light and slim. I really love the portability of the Xes but could definitely use some more screen real estate...

Dothan will reach the X series when Intel releases a Low Voltage (LV) version of the Dothan Pentium M.

Q3 (I would guess June/July timeframe), according to this source:

As for a higher res model, your best bet might be a T series with the optical bay removed and an airbay installed.

Actually, there's a LV Dothan available now, like K.Eng forecasted. The 1,4GHz Pentium-M 738 is a Dothan core.
