There are some nice T42s on sale at Bill's site. Wish I could fit one in my budget.

I'm also looking to buy a T42p. The retail for that model is close to $3,300 from IBM. IBM usually gives a 10% discount during their sales, which brings the final price to $3,000 before taxes. I was about to buy a lower end model until you posted that link.

I might have to go the eBay route too. According to that guy's eBay feedback, it seems that he has quite a few happy Thinkpad customers.

Just bought the T42p, cant wait to get it so I can get rid of this crappy Dell inspiron 8100 I have. Now we are talking quality.
