Another (Homemade) IBM wallpaper [Big JPG]

#1 Post by Torque » Wed Apr 18, 2007 3:51 pm

Hi,

Recently went back to Thinkpads (T60) again, after having a Macbook Pro for six months.

However, thought I'd try and make another wallpaper.

Took a picture of my Thinkpads keyboard and trackpoint. Desaturated the keyboard and kept the colour on the trackpoint. Keeping it red, black and blue. The colours I feel represent the Thinkpad design the most.

Use it as you wish, as long as you don't take credit for it. And please state your opinion in the poll above :)

Thanks alot :)

It didn't turn out as sharp as I hoped for, though. I'll be playing around with it some more later today, this time with a tripod. That should give a better result.

I've never quite understood why someone would want the keyboard they're currently typing on, appearing on their screen too...but that's not really up for debate.

Either way, your image is quite nice, and it looks like you dusted it off well!

If a key is stuck, you can continue typing on the screen. :D

And, generally, people use a wallpaper which represent something they like, or something that's beautiful. So I guess that's why you can see IBM Keyboards on the screens...

It's very good, but it might also be nice to work in a little more color. Maybe have a red light throw some light on the keyboard. Very nice photography.

You might have done already in another thread, but can you comment on that?

Right, I didn't know how to say it.

The red could me more red.

Hope you understand what I mean.

Anyway, good job, of course ! :)
