X31 & X40 Screen Brightness

#1 Post by verktyg » Sun Oct 03, 2004 12:24 am

How bright are the screens on the X31 & X40 in daylight - that is - in open shade such as sitting in a car out of direct sunlight?

I have a 240x that I'm using as a large Palm Pilot. At times the screen is a little hard to see when it's bright outside.

Are the X series screens brighter than my 240x screen?

Chas.

I picked up a new X31. the screen is much brighter and sharper than the screens on my T20 and 240x laptops.

screen brightness

I've used both the X31 and X40 and both have equally bright screens with seven levels of adjustments. Both screens perform reasonable well in direct sunlight. The X31's graphics card and driver produces sharper text at lower screen resolution settings (800x600) than the X40. Their performance at 1024x768 are indistinguishable in terms of text sharpness.

I second that. My T23 and T40 colours seem dull when compared to the X31.
