I've recently noticed a peculiar issue regarding the network connections on my T42 2378-FVU.
Up until a couple weeks ago, I could just close the lid (hibernate) and take my laptop from home to work or hotspot or family's house, open the lid, connect to whatever network they had (wired or wireless), and I would be going with no problem.
Lately I've found that whenever i switch networks (and even switch between the wireless connection and wired connection at home) that I have to reboot the laptop in order for things to work.
What is odd is that Windows will go ahead and make the connection, show valid IP, gateway, etc information, but there will be nothing (no browsing, pings, IM, etc.) unless I reboot.
I've been scouring all over to find any thoughts on this matter. Has anyone seen behavior like this?
Thanks.
P.S. I updated to the latest Intel PRO/1000 MT & PRO/Wireless 2200BG drivers tonight, but that has not helped.
