Weird Stuff

#1 Post by Brad » Fri Apr 20, 2007 9:19 am

My new to me T43p with a XPP SP2 fresh recovery is doing weird stuff. When I choose the default printer and my home page and then restart they are always changed back to where they started. Has anyone seen any behavior like this?

Maybe other things are happening too that I am not yet aware of.

I love the speed of this T43p. After 7 years of A2xp's I am really getting used to how fast this thing is and loving every second..

Thanks

I think I encountered this before. I believe it is a user setting that is causing windows to default everything. Try to see if the same thing happens with the administrator account. If so, then Windows is having identity issues.

Those settings are also in Access Connections, and Access Connections returns to original settings unless you go into the properties in AC and tell it not to do that. ... JDH

Thanks for the replies. I checked AC under each profile and then additional settings I can set the default printer and my home page.

Thank you very much. This forum is the greatest.
