Restored - But now cant connect to ANYTHING

#1 Post by ANDS » Sat Apr 21, 2007 8:22 pm

No wireless. Not even local connection. It is a clean Factory Restore, yet I cant get any connection whatsoever on my laptop. I remember having problems setting up wireless before when using Factory Restore, but had no problems when I did a CLEAN windows install.

Did the little switch on the front of the machine get accidently turned off? I've hit it by accident a couple of times when moving the machine around...

If you right-click on your network adapter under Network Connections, you should see Client for Microsoft Networks and Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) installed at the minimum.

See following links for some help:

Using the Network Diagnostics Tool

EDITED: Memory not quite so good.
