T42 and Minidock questions

For owners of the Minidock, does your Thinkpad sit VERY snugly with the dock (mine doesn't btw)? For some reason, no matter how much I fiddle with the setup, the left palmrest of my thinkpad is slightly not touching the tabletop while the right side is fine (sitting on the table). Anyone have any suggestions or comments? Thanks!

Are you sure your table is flat? Does the thinkpad sit securely and flat in the minidock? Is the minidock lower surface flat on the table?

Yes, the table is flat (its a conference table) and the minidock lower surface (plastic base) is flat on the table. I guess my concern is with your second question of whether the thinkpad sits securely and flat in the minidock. If I view it from the side, should the entire bottom of the thinkpad be resting on the sloping plastic base of the minidock? For me, there's a gap here (thinkpad touches dock only near connection point). I'm quite certain that the thinkpad is secure in the dock as I've fiddled with it several times, but I was kind of disappointed about the minidock as it gives little instruction on this (I owned a dell dock before and it was much more user-friendly). BTW - curiously enough, when the screen is closed on my thinkpad, it appears that the gap between the thinkpad base (lower left palm rest) and the desk closes. Hmmmm....thanks for your input.

mgp, mine sits the same as yours. I see no apparent problems even so, it feels quite solid.

thanks for the confirmation about this. It was just a little startling to me at first because I just noticed it after owning it for only a week.
