has anyone else buy from these guys?
i just bought a battery for my t23 and it's not that great :(
it holds just like the old original one, about 1h30m or even less sometimes and the capacity doesn't want to go up!
when it came it had 22.70 Wh [reported by Battery MaxiMiser] and now it just variates form 20.## to 22.## but no improvement.
i have done 4-5 deep cycles like they say to do on their refurb battery but still no go...
and beside this the battery has another problem: when it reaches 100% charged state it starts blinking the orange light like it's low batt instead of going to solid green.

thanks for any further suggestions, C.

If you tried using the search link at the top of the page and used the search term "batteryrefill.com", then you should have gotten almost 4600 matches. This is a problem with the way phpBB acts when there is a "." in the search string. Instead, try "batteryrefill*" and you should get only 47 hits (as of right now, searching in all forums).

I have purchased a couple of 600X batteries from them and have found them to last just as long as a factory battery (about 2.5 hours). Not having any Battery MaxiMiser program on the 600X systems, I don't know how the storage capacity is changing over time. I do know that after about a year's worth of usage, they are still working about the same amount of time.

If you bought the battery directly from them and it has been less than one year, contact the Support department using the web page at:

http://www.batteryrefill.com/support.phtml

However, the problem may be in the monitoring circuitry inside the battery pack. The one year guarantee that batteryrefill.com provides only covers the cells and not the "electronics". As you say that the orange LED turns on when the pack is supposed to be fully charged, then that leads me to believe that you have a problem with the circuit board in the battery (or in your laptop). Can you install the battery pack in another T2x system and see what it does there?

thanks for the fast replay Ray,
i did the search before the post and got >4000 results
and i belive too that the electronics are to blame but i have the battery for 5 days and it did the led thing from the begining so it came broken from them...
i'll try a few deep cycles more and eventually a really deep cycle with a resistor on the battery to discharege it further more and then see what happens.

when the battery is full and blinking orange i have to remove it and put it back in to get a green led, a simple restart doesn't do it even of ot cycles the information leds form the hinge.

Out of the 600,000 threads that vaguely mention batteryrefill.com, I chose this one to post my experience.

I sent my T40 battery priority mail to batteryrefill on December 20th. They received it on the 28th.

They shipped it back on the 9th of this month and I received it on the 14th. Just shy of a month, but at least I got it back...and it works.

It's no Frankenstein battery like Ray had, but it's certainly not too pretty. It's very creaky, and the seams come apart easily. If I put moderate pressure on it I'm sure it would split open.

I don't like their 20-40% increase in capacity claims. My battery is supposed to be 4400mAh, but from the factory it had 4700mAh. After being re-celled, it's now 4427mAh. I don't know where they get these made up increases from. I am happy however, to be getting about 3 hours out of my T40 with full brightness. $55 including shipping the battery to them. New batteries on eBay likely cost more (BIN at least), and they've been sitting for too long.

I didn't buy aftermarket because I wanted to be able to view the battery stats accurately. It displays the new cycle count as well as the capacity remaining. It still lists the original first used date, design capacity, and other data. No big deal, I guess.
