Windows 2000 and Wireless

#1 Post by ZaZ » Mon Apr 23, 2007 3:30 am

I have Windows 2000 installed on my R60. I can't get the wireless to work. I tried the Lenovo and Intel Drivers, both to no avail. When I open access connections, hit the Power On Wireless radio button, but nothing seems to happen. In network connections, it says my cable is unplugged. Did I miss something? 2K worked fine on my T42. Any help greatly appreciated.

Is your wireless adapter listed in system devices - and if so, then what's it's name there? Are you sure the hardware switch is on (sorry for asking, but...)?

I've got Windows 2000 on R60e and only problem I've got is DHCP in wireless connections (sometimes I can't get an IP but my friend sitting next to me with exactly the same R60e - gets his IP in no time).

Thanks for the reply. Yes the wireless card, the Intel 3945 is on. It shows up in device manager and it says it is working properly. Both the Lenovo and Intel software installed correctly, but they don't seem to turn on with Windows. I think the wireless card is not turned on for some reason. Any help greatly appreciated.
