Unstable R50.

#1 Post by Reo51St » Mon Apr 23, 2007 10:32 am

My R50 is acting very unstable when trying to download MS Updates. It checks for updates and in the middle it comes up with Generic Host Process for Win 32 Services has encountered a problem.

Some times it just comes up with that it encountered an error and must end that process.

Running XP with SP2 and trying to get latest updates.

Any ideas???

Thanks.

That's one of the initial setups for a virus. I've had something like that.

It's a headache. Just re-install your computer to factory content.

And then, without pulling in your personal files,

proceed immediately to download all windows updates & antivirus internet security software/updates.

After that, copy-paste your personal files from another media.

The reason is that there may be viruses/leaks embedded in your personal files. I know this for sure b/c every time I introduced my personal files to my computer before completely shielding my computer w/ SP2 & antivirus (or even during the process of) my computer messed up.

Once SP2 & rest of the updates come online, your computer will most probably be safe.
