Fans should stop ? That's weird ...

#1 Post by Angel » Mon Oct 04, 2004 6:42 am

Hi !

I installled mobilemeter to check my laptop cpu and system temperature. After the system temperature goes up to 40 degrees
the fans start to spin, I would think that after the system temperature get colder the fans should stop but it isn't so :?
Is there someone around that could tell me his/her opinion about this issue, is there a way to fix that ??

Regards

Ps: THinkpad 600x

Hi Angel, and welcome to our ThinkPads forum. Please don't post the same message multiple times in multiple sections. I have deleted the duplicate messages. Thanks.

600E Fans

I seem to be having fan problems with My 600E too, IBM says I'm using the latest BIOS, and the fan seems not to be coming on, The computer is doing the "Overheat" type resets described in the root of this thread

Any help in either one: Setting the fan to ON, period, or 2: Finding a monitor program that will work on the TP-600E win-98se, or 3: Getting to work as needed wold be much appreicated.

Thank you in advance
