Screen size
I currently have a t40 and the text size is great.
I'm about to purchase a t60p 15.4 WSXGA and am a little concerned that the text maybe smaller ....
Is the text size the same ?

14.1" XGA = 90.8 dots per inch
14.1" SXGA+ = 124.1 DPI
15.4" WSXGA+ = 128.6 DPI
Does your T40 have XGA or SXGA+? If it's XGA, the 15.4" WSXGA+ will show much smaller text. If it's SXGA+, then text on the 15.4" screen will be slightly smaller.

Is the text size an issue for people ?

That's XGA. Things will appear much smaller on the 15.4" WSXGA+ T60p. In this case, I strongly urge you to find an actual 15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050) laptop to see whether it's tolerable.Oaklodge wrote:Hmm, not sure which it is but the native resolution is 1024 x 768

On my T60 with SXGA+ (1400x1050), the text would normally be smaller, but Lenovo set the text size to Large, so it's fine. What's NOT fine is that not many makers of Windows software test with the larger text size (including Lenovo), so sometimes your applications will look funny, or words will be missing.
Of course, you can change to small text and live with that instead.
I run Linux, and there are whole new sets of font issues there too.
