Hi Folks
After purchasing this machine I added 128 meg of ram(to bring it up to 256) installed xp pro, formatted the hd ntfs. The install went no problem but the machine would freeze at the slightest application and need a cold boot to start.I checked Event Viewer and in the System log there were tons of ACPI error references. So I went in to device manager, system, and changed the acpi config to "Standard Pc" and the freeze up problems went away although now I have to shut it down manually. Is there any way to get ACPI working in xp on this machine?I have the latest bios update and acpi works fine in W98 (which the machine shipped with originaly).Apart from the annoying HPA display I like this machine and use it in the car(with Streets and Trips) and for programming some older audio serial devices. Anyone had this issue?
Thanks for looking,
Audioguy
