This is probally a stupid question about warranty

Hi, I bought a laptop today and try to check the warranty status. It came up as this. "Information for Warranty was not found. Please click back and try again or you may navigate clicking on 'Warranty'." Does this mean it does not have a warranty? Or can the server be down?

I have seen that message when the server was down, when there was no U.S. warranty, and when the laptop was reported stolen, so it can mean anything.

I just tried to check three ThinkPads which I know for sure are all still perfectly covered by warranty - and I got the same message as you. So, it seems that Lenovo's server is just down at this time.

"Please try again later"... :)

Ok, I just checked it this morning and is working fine. Finds out there is still a years warranty on my T42. Thank you johan for checking on it as well.
