Screen brightness changes on boot up

#1 Post by hodad » Thu Apr 26, 2007 10:56 pm

Ever since I used my T60 for a presentation with a projector the screen brightness switches back to about medium on its own when I reboot. I have to change it back every time. It's not a big deal but it's aggravating. Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks.

a couple of ways to accomplish this task, one in the BIOS, after pressing the power button and once the thinkpad logo appears press F1 which will get you into BIOS setup, navigate to the area that describes the screen brightness and change that, do not change anything else, hit ESC save and reboot.
The other way is to change your power managment, go to the control panel in Windows (regardless of version) and enter power mgt, in there change the screen brighness in the profiel that you are using to maximum and that should take care of the issue.

The best solution would be to set up profiles for your configurations (i.e. one for regular use and one for use with a projector).
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU
