Presentation Director acting weird
I had a similar problem where I couldn't get the external display to work properly. Turned out it was because I installed the video driver from Microsoft rather than from IBM.
Here's what worked for me:
- Go into device manager, find the video card driver, uninstall it and check off the box that tells the system to remove the files
- Reboot
- Using software update to install the IBM driver (might require re-installing presentation director)
It's an older version of the driver than what Microsoft ships so Vista keeps on wanting to use the new (ms) driver rather than the IBM one.
Once I made this change i could set up the display correctly.
You should also check that you have the display adapter installed so that Vista knows the resolution capabilities of your display.
Darren.
