Remove/changing the password client security solution

#1 Post by ylim » Fri Apr 27, 2007 8:38 pm

Hi there,

I own a x60. I am sure you know what is the Thinkpad's Client security solution software. Initially, I have input a password/passphrase. I wish to change it (note this is not the window password).

And I can't change it. It is much appreciated if you can kindly advise me.

Thank you.

You might want to check the password settings in the BIOS. I believe the CSS software requests the supervisor password if one is set. This is usually different from the power-on password.

I think you could get around this one by setting the supervisor to the same pass as the power-on password or simply disabling the supervisor password.
